The roots of the alphabet

As stated before the Detbap alphabet is pseudo syllabic. Each syllable syllable exists of one vowel with one consonant "glued" to it before it and optionally one glued behind it.

The vowel roots are as follows:

E a as in "baker"
e Same as above, but no consonant follows.
I ee as in "been, seen"

y German "ΓΌ"
Y Same as above, but no consonant follows.
