In what languages can this site be viewed? This site is written in Dutch and English, follow the desired links on the Start page to get the language of your choice. What browser should I use? This site uses VBscript and database access. Moreover Netscape's and IE's java compiler do not yield the same results when compiling the Applets! As far as I have been able to ascertain only Internet explorer 4 and higher will display all pages correctly (sorry). I don't see the alphabets in the dictionaries and sample texts...You have to download and install the fonts from the download page. Don't fear: it is fast, simple and safe to do so.Not all the letters appear in the foreign alphabets...This is caused by the encoding of the foreign fonts. Correct it as follows:
It takes ages to show a letter from one of the dictionaries...Some of the letters, especially from the Aninese-Dutch dictionary are very large. Be patient, or try another letter. Hey, the dictionaries are in some incomprehensible language! That's right, they are in Dutch! The process of translating it into English has started however, so you will gradually see the Dutch entries replaced by English ones. Some of the Aninese words have no Dutch translation...Unfortunately I have not been able to glean the meaning of all the Aninese words that are known to me. I will update the dictionary as my deciphering continues. I don't hear the sound samples...The *.wav files are mp3 compressed. The new Windows media player, available from Windows update will play them. Otherwise look for a mp3 player-plug in. |
